BALI ITINERARY
Day 1. DEPART NORTH AMERICA Enjoy your jumbo jet flight to the Orient with complimentary headsets, movies, beverages and meal service. (IFM)
Day 2. EN ROUTE As you cross the International dateline and move your watch ahead 16 hours, you temporarily "lose" this day. You’ll gain it back later.
Day 3.
ARRIVE TO THE ISLAND OF BALI / LE MERIDIEN NIRWANA GOLF AND SPA RESORT
The beautiful island
of Bali, is known as the "Morning of the World". Arrive in this
magical, mystical paradise, and settle into your home for the entire vacation,
Le Meridien Nirwana Golf and Spa Resort*. This new and prestigious resort,
located along the island’s magnificent southwest coast, framed by volcanic
mountain backdrops and breathtaking views of the Indian Ocean is Bali’s most
exquisite resort and is the winner of the "1998 Best New Resort Hotel in
Asia - Pacific" by PATA (Pacific Asia Travel Agent Association). The
18-hole signature golf course, designed by one of the foremost golfers of our
time, Greg Norman, is believed to be one of the ten most dramatic golf courses
in the world and was awarded the "Best Golf Course In Asia-Pacific".
Set within the 100-hectare resort, the hotel offers its guests an exhilarating
feeling of spaciousness and an affinity with the completely natural surrounding
of rice terraces, lushly landscaped gardens and pools. The resort hotel also
offers a fitness center, two tennis courts, and squash courts, all designed and
constructed to international standards and offered free of charge. Guest rooms
are luxuriously furnished with traditional Balinese materials from fabrics to
woodcarvings. The marbled bathroom consists of a separate bathtub and shower,

4. RURAL CULTURAL DOWNHILL MOUNTAIN CYCLING TOUR
Starting high in the mountains at the village of
Mayungan,
this morning’s 15 mile ride winds its way down along valleys, passing temples
and shrines and criss-crossing golden rice fields through landscape unchanged
for a thousand years. Your guide will explain local Balinese culture and customs
while you pass through the timeless countryside, arriving finally at the famous
Monkey Forest Temple at Sangeh. A picnic lunch will be served half way. In many
ways this morning’s tour contains the essence of Bali. You’ll see the rural
beauty of the island, village temples, family compounds, and rice terraces. 16

Day 5.
ELEPHANT SAFARI RIDE This
morning we travel to the cool jungle of Desa Taro to visit the Elephant Safari
Park where you will have a chance to hand feed, touch and interact with these
wonderful creatures in an exotic landscaped atmosphere. Than, sitting high atop
an elephant in a traditional teak wood chair, you sway through the cool
jungle,
an experience you’ll never forget. Later you return to your resort, and what
could be more enticing than an afternoon of leisure at the Nirwana Resort...You
may wish to wander through the grandeur of the hotel's flower-laden grounds,
play golf or tennis, relax at the spa with a traditional Balinese massage, or
enjoy the beautiful pools. (B)
Day 6. UBUD
ARTISAN TOUR / BARONG DANCE PERFORMANCE The Balinese are a
spiritual and artistically talented people. This morning in Ubud, visit the
enchanting studios of Balinese painters and experience the renaissance in
Balinese art combining a traditional approach with European techniques. There
will be ample time to browse through several galleries. Also, visit gold and
silver craftsmen in the village of Celuk, Batuan Temple, as well as the
woodcarving galleries in Mas, and perhaps a batik factory for some lovely
locally made fabric. Later, enjoy a performance of the traditional Barong Dance.
The afternoon is at your leisure and you may take the free shuttle to the
shopping haven of Kuta. (B)
Day 7. AYUNG
RIVER WHITE WATER RAFTING
This morning we
go on a exhilarating white water rafting trip. The Ayung River is Bali’s most
spectacular river and provides 27 sets of challenging and fun filled rapids set
to a backdrop of wild unspoiled rainforest, towering gorges and magnificent rice
paddy terraces. Enjoy lunch amidst the tranquil surroundings of Kupu Kupu
Barong, where the food is delicious and the views of the fertile Ayung River
valley are spectacular. This award-winning restaurant is located in the
exclusive hideaway hotel where many celebrities vacation. (B, L)
Day 8. JOURNEY HOME Late afternoon we depart Bali for our flight home arriving in the U.S. the same day ("gaining" back the day we "lost"), filled with wonderful memories of our exotic vacation in Bali, the world’s best island. (B plus IFM)

Reservations and Cancellations:
A deposit of $200.00 per person must accompany each reservation. Payment of the balance of the tour price should be made no later than 76 days prior to departure. Payments by credit cards are not accepted. If cancellation is made up to 76 days prior to departure, all monies deposited will be refunded except for a $150.00 handling fee per person. Cancellation fees for passengers who cancel 75 days or less prior to departure for any reason are as follows: | 75-46 prior - 50% of gross fare | 45-16 days prior - 85% of gross fare | 15 days or less prior - 100% of gross fare. These are heavy penalties and no exceptions will be made. We therefore URGE all passengers to purchase cancellation insurance when booking this tour.Not included in the tour price: Taxes and fees (airline ticket taxes, departure taxes, airport fees, security fees, customs & immigration fees, hotel taxes and service charges, handling fees, and all other taxes and fees, currently $139.00, to be paid with your final payment), the cost of passport, the cost of all drinks including wine, liquor, hot drinks, soft drinks, bottled water, meals not listed in the itinerary, items of a personal nature, extra hotel charges such as telephone calls, faxes, e-mail, pay-per-view movies, mini-bar, room service, laundry, and gratuities for the tour director, local guides and drivers.

By utilizing the travel services of the suppliers, you agree that neither ST nor any representative shall be liable for any accident, injury, property damage, or personal loss to you or to those traveling with you in connection with any accommodations, transportation, or other travel services, or resulting directly or indirectly from any occurrences or conditions beyond ST’s control, including but not limited to, acts of terrorism, war, defects in vehicles, breakdown in equipment, strikes, theft, or delay or cancellation of or changes in itinerary or schedules. All pricing is subject to change. ST reserves the right to correct promotional or pricing errors at any time, or increase the program price in the event of cost increases due to changes in airfare, cruise fares, currency fluctuations, park fee increases, taxes or fuel surcharges. ST reserves the right to decline to accept or retain any person as a member of any tour or vacation at its discretion. ST and/or its tour directors retain the right to terminate the participation (without refund) of any group member at their discretion, if such person's health, actions or general deportment impede the operation of the tour and/or causes any hardship to the tour director and/or other tour members. In such case there will be no refund to the tour member for the unused portion of the tour, and all additional expenses incurred, such as airline ticket change penalties, transfers to the airport etc., will be the sole responsibility of the tour member whose membership was terminated. ST reserves the right to cancel or alter at its discretion and without notice, any tour or vacation including, but not limited to, change of dates, routing, change of hotels, meals, shows and/or sightseeing services of any itinerary and/or tour and/or vacation outlined in this flyer and/or brochure. If for any reason, ST changes a hotel(s) to a lower category, you may either accept the alteration or elect to cancel, in which case you will be entitled to a full refund.
